This 4" x 6" piece is rendered in watercolor, acrylic and gouache, and is mounted on a .75" wood panel with metallic gold accents. The sides are finished in a coordinating solid color and varnished to a high-gloss shine. Provided with two hanging options: adhesive velcro strips, or a more traditional sawtooth hanger.
While obviously inspired by Andy Warhol's famous soup cans, I intend these to be a different statement on the commodification of image and mechanical reproduction. Every piece is painstakingly unique, taking the familiar image and rendering it as a one-of-a-kind piece of art.
